Update Gateway Software

If connected to the internet, it is possible to update the software on the Data Gateway and download the latest SIM

rmware.

1. Select the “About” tab on the left of the screen, then the “Software” tab.

2. Under the Component column, IntelliSense

indicates the Gateway software. The remaining

items are for the SIM and sensor rmware.

3. The Installed column has the version number of the installed software and Update shows the ver-

sion available for download. If they are different, a command button under Action will appear to

prompt updating the software.

In order to update a Data Gateway’s software without direct connection to the internet, rst download the update le

and copy it to the root directory of a USB storage device. Plug the memory stick into one of the USB ports on the

Data Gateway and allow for the memory stick to be recognized. From the “Software” tab click “Force check for new

updates” and click the update button just as you would if connected directly to the internet.

To download the available SIM rmware, select the Install button in the Action column to the right of the desired rm-

ware version. This will download the latest rmware for storing on the Gateway, and does not update the attached

SIMs. Refer to the following section in this manual to apply the SIM update: Update SIM Firmware.
